SONAbeam breaks the tape, achieving "NetWORKS As Advertised" endorsement from Miercom
SONAbeam shines, enduring rigors imposed by independent lab
RICHMOND, British Columbia - August 8, 2001 fSONA validated its position as the technological & industry leader in the delivery of low-cost, high speed, over the air access solutions. Bolstered by its "physically stable" design (it's built like a tank) the SONAbeam 155-M passed the Miercom battery of tests with flying colors, achieving Miercom's highest award - "NetWORKS As Advertised". Overjoyed with the results, fSONA CEO Theresa Carbonneau says: "We are delighted to receive the Miercom award for our SONAbeam 155-M. SONAbeam - with its quad-laser redundancy, ("which significantly enhances link availability"), and the highest output power in the business - performed flawlessly. "Zero errors, even with impairments," says Uwe Bilger, Senior Test Engineer for Miercom. "We set up several scenarios to simulate the effects various atmospheric conditions have on transmission quality, no of them had any effect."
SONAbeam also proved its claim of hassle-free, out-of-the-box installation. With its elegant design, well thought out packaging, easy to understand & well-illustrated documentation - "deployment is a snap" according to Rob Smithers, President of Miercom. According to Miercom, of all the wireless MAN products reviewed, the "optical (infrared-laser) products clearly delivered the best performance and the highest throughput", exhibiting "negligible" latency & jitter. It's noteworthy, too, that the test crew at Miercom were extremely impressed when they learned this is fSONA's first product: "Usually it takes manufacturers two or three tries to get working product, but fSONA got it right - right out of the gate."
