Wi-LAN receives "NetWORKS AS ADVERTISED" seal of approval in independent product test
Miercom awards Wi-LAN's AWE 120-24 advanced wireless Ethernet bridge for functionality and performance
CALGARY, Canada - June 26, 2001 - Wi-LAN Inc. (TSE: WIN), an innovator of high-speed wireless data/Internet communications, today announced that its AWE 120-24 advanced wireless Ethernet bridge has earned the "NetWORKS As Advertised" award from Miercom, an independent networking consultancy and product test center based in Princeton Junction, New Jersey. The award came as part of Wi-LAN's participation in Miercom's Independent Certification Program, which put the AWE 120-24 advanced wireless Ethernet bridge through rigorous testing at the Miercom lab facility.
Wi-LAN's AWE 120-24 advanced wireless Ethernet bridge was assessed on the basis of installation, ease of use, configuration, functionality, features and performance. As an independent networking validation center, Miercom's testing acknowledges that the AWE 120-24 advanced wireless Ethernet bridge (Version 2.0.0) works according to its published specifications.
